1. One of the finest museum quality George Armstrong Custer display
pieces a collector can own. The legendary general distinguished himself
in dozens of Civil War cavalry engagements. As Lt. Colonel of the 7th Cavalry
in Indian territory between 1867 and 1876 he engaged in numerous skirmishes
until his death at the Battle of the Little Big Horn. An extraordinary
framed autograph and photograph set of George Armstrong Custer. He signs
boldly, " G. A. Custer Brig. Genl. Comd' Re." The photograph of Custer
in uniform is by Jose Mora (K-150), trimmed to image with light dampstains
to blank background, otherwise excellent. The photo was taken in March
1876, only three months before the Battle of the Little Big Horn. It's
one of the rarest and most valuable of Custer photographs. Photograph and
autograph are double matted and contained withn a gold gilted frame. Overall
dimensions eleven by eight and a half inches with sharp, crisp detail to
